Hi, I’m Banner Kidd. In 45 years of marriage Karen and I have survived a legalistic Hebrew Roots cult. We have suffered loss of a daughter. and the heartache of another who has been left an amputee along with being a single mom of two little boys after a car crash. I have survived a triple bypass open heart surgery and three strokes. Our children and grandchildren still suffer the trauma of these life altering events. However, we trust God to make beauty from the ashes
God has given me so many opportunities to serve Him in teaching, preaching, children’s ministry, church leadership, Christian Music production, broadcast radio ministry and the ministry of restoration through leading a Celebrate Recovery and serving in Inspiration Ministry as case manager, program supervisor and director of development. One journey with different legs on the way have led us to First Love Outreach Fellowship, equipped for such a time as this.
An honest look shows us that the body of Christ is diverse. The many colors of the creation of God are being employed by the Master artist to create his “poema,” a beautiful song of love.
People come in many colors and shades of color, and from different cultures and ethnicities. We are individual, yet not independent. Embracing our diversity and casting aside our differences we trust that He will make us into the image of His dear beloved Son, Jesus, if we let Him! I liken it to the coat of many colors that we read about in Genesis, that Joseph’s father gave to him. Christ’s body is of many colors. We are clothed in Christ!
How do you identify? Who are you? We who are born again by the power of the Spirit are blood bought, supernaturally born-again, children of God! We are called to love and kindness not to judgementalism. God is Love and He is Spirit. He is able! The Spirit is in the business of changing hearts and minds and putting families back together, restoring us to the victory that Jesus purchased for us on the cross. Karen and I, together with our small part of the greater family in Christ are blessed to continue this journey, and we invite you to join us.
We have a Monday evening weekly Bible Study in Kendallville at the public library, and we will begin a weekly Saturday service on January 11th, at 6pm at 800 E. Main in Albion, in the Albion Wesleyan Church Fellowship Dining Area. May God bless Pastor Sam Maddox and Albion Wesleyan for such great generosity and love, and for the “teamwork that makes the dream work” in Christ, to quote our brother and friend, Dr. Mark Gorveatte.
For anyone who wants to be free of the issues of life that hold you back, the hurts that haunt you, and the fear, shame and guilt left it its wake, Jesus can and will give you freedom! Come to Jesus and live this abundant life in Christ with us. Contact info below. Call me, text me, or send email and let’s become friends and family.
In Christ,
Banner Kidd, Pastor
